Short Term

DART's unique system of photogrammetry (developed in Germany and used by the European Space Agency, RCMP, CSIS and the Federal Government) permits COST EFFECTIVE small scale aerial photogrammetry. Simply put, we don't have the large costs of the traditional techniques, where it can cost thousands just to turn the ignition switch on the plane.

While we do offer economy of scale pricing - DART is able to economically fly a single new development or area of your community and produce replacement OBM mapping with contours, usually at a higher level of accuracy than your existing mapping!

Long Term

DART updates your mapping on your schedule. Annually, semi annually, bi yearly - you decide whats right for your community and let DART bring your base mapping up-to-date. Replacement is simply not a cost effective option. After all, most of the features haven't changed - you simply don't have mapping of the newer developments or of areas that have changed. Even an aggressive updating program pales in comparison to the extreme cost of replacement. Period.

Value

Probably the biggest factor that should determine any purchase is value for money. Compare DART to traditional techniques. A small cost on a regular basis will maintain your mapping at near 100% completeness. While replacement, even on a 20 year schedule will cost many times more and lose value progressively over its lifetime.
