Q. What Is It?
A. Using exiting maps or ones we create we link information to the features so that users can interact with them. For example, scanned engineering drawings can be retrieved using this system by linking their physical coverage on map to so that the user click on the area covered by the drawing and it immediately opens.
Q. What Features Do The Maps Have.

| Rollovers | When a user moves the mouse over an item it changes colour to identify the feature selected. |
| Linkage | When a user clicks on an item it can open a supporting web page, picture or any other type of document |
| Info Tips | When a user moves the mouse over an item a brief description of the item is displayed in a dialog box. |
| Info Pop Ups | When a user clicks on an item it can open supporting database information on the item in a separate window. |
| Zoom/Pan/Overview Map | Users can zoom in and see detail more clearly with NO loss in image quality. Users can pan around the map or use an overview map to change the map centering. |
| Scale Bar | Shows the scale of the current map. |
| Layering | Users can turn On and Off layers to control the information displayed |
| Auto Labeling | As users Zoom in and Out Auto labels
show data on the map automatically - for example street names. |
Q. Can I Use My Organizations Maps?
A. Yes. Any digital format of map can be used. If the maps are in paper format we can easily re-create them and put them in digital format.
Q. What is needed to make it work.
A. Users must have installed the SVG Plug-in for their browser. This plug-in is free and available from Adobe. Nothing else is required except a standard browser. No configuration/setup/licenses apply.
Q. What is SVG?
A. SVG is a open source W3C compliant standard for vector graphics. It stands for Scaleable Vector Graphics. It is the defacto standard for vector graphics on the internet.
